Pamper Tip #1 - Listen to your favorite music - When was the last time you bought yourself a new CD of your favorite artist? Turn on some motivating music for yourself. Listen to music to relax or pump up the volume and dance while you do the laundry.
Pamper Tip #2 - Get a manicure! Whether you go to a nail salon or do it yourself, a manicure is an instant pick me up. A nail salon in my area typically charges between $10 - $15 for a simple manicure. That would include cuticle trimming, an oil massage, nail filing and nail polish. It usually takes about 30 minutes. It's worth every penny too.
Don't think you can afford it? Skip the Starbucks two times and you'll probably be able to pay for it! Still don't think the money is there? Another great way to get this treat for free is to partner up with a friend!Make some coffee or a couple of cocktails and have a good friend come over and give each other a manicure. It's a great way to catch up on things, vent and just have a good time. You'll both benefit from the pampering effects of the manicure and spending time with a good friend is always beneficial!
Pamper Tip #3 - Take a bath! Put the kids to bed and give the husband a bag of chips and go and take a bath! Turn down the lights, light a candle, scoop in some soothing bath salts and just relax! Put on some quiet music and close your eyes and feel the tension slip away.
Pamper Tip #4 - Take a nap!! You don't even really have to sleep. Take 15-20 minutes and lay down and just relax! The most refreshing, rejuvinating naps are 20 minutes. Nap more than that and you will be left feeling tired and groggy. So, set a timer and kick back! You deserve it!
Pamper Tip #5 - Take care of your hair!Does it seem like your hair is shedding everywhere? Is it tough to style it the way you want it?If so, when's the last time you got a haircut?A regular haircut is not only fun and boosts your confidence, but it's good for your hair's health.
Pamper Tip #6 - Create a Comfort Journal....Buy yourself a nice journal or a notebook. If you are crafty, you can even make yourself one. Keep it handy....write things in there that make you smile. If your child makes you a gift, write it down in your journal. If you remember something from your youth that makes you chuckle, write it down in your journal. Add to it often! Then, if you are feeling down...pull it out and read it. It is guaranteed to help make you feel better. Hope this finds you well and until next time, pamper yourself...you deserve it!!!
